PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) continues to commit to strengthening digitalization through the development of a world-class Data Center Ecosystem (DC Ecosystem) at NeutraDC and neuCentrIX. The Data Center Ecosystem is a digital service that provides direct connectivity to various network infrastructures, cloud providers, and large-scale storage facilities.

For businesses in the digital economy, access to data centers and extensive international bandwidth will support almost all computations, data storage, data security, as well as network and business applications for companies. National digitalization is considered a key driver of the economy, which can be initiated through the development of local digital industries that activate digitalization across various verticals.

During the recent Bali Annual Telkom International Conference (BATIC) 2022, TelkomGroup announced that it currently operates 28 data centers, including 5 global data centers, 3 Enterprise Data Centers (in Sentul, Serpong, and Surabaya) classified as tier 3 and 4, as well as 1 Hyperscale Data Center (in Cikarang), and 19 neuCentrIX located in various cities across Indonesia.

neuCentrIX also provides internationally scaled supporting facilities, carrier-neutral services, and multi-service options for other network providers, catering to businesses in various sectors, including finance, manufacturing, and both domestic and foreign cloud computing service providers. On the other hand, NeutraDC is a company that operates hyperscale data center businesses, adhering to global standards with Uptime Tier III & Tier IV certifications, serving global players.

Bogi Witjaksono, the Director of Wholesale and International Service at Telkom, stated that the data center ecosystem can provide significant benefits in accelerating customer business. "Telkom Data Ecosystem (NeutraDC) is a neutral data center where many global players, ISPs, and other digital entities are already part of its ecosystem," he said.

The interconnected data centers, coupled with broadband networks and comprehensive services, located in various locations, are TelkomGroup's efforts to create a globally recognized digital ecosystem. The goal is to assist industries in developing their businesses and ensuring the best standards of digital connectivity services for both global and domestic players.

This digital transformation also serves as preparation to accommodate future needs, such as the launch of 5G networks, edge blockchain technology, and the growth of the digital economy in the future. Additionally, the objective of digital connectivity is to strengthen the digital transformation of lifestyles, governance, and businesses, thereby accelerating the growth of Indonesia's digital economy.

"The rapid increase in the digital economy post-pandemic, driven by digital transformation and transactions, has led to a significant demand for storage and low-latency data processing," said Andreuw Th.A.F., Chief Executive Officer of Telkom Data Ecosystem (NeutraDC). Andreuw further emphasized that NeutraDC, as an enabler of the digital ecosystem, provides global-standard DC infrastructure with comprehensive network connectivity to ensure business continuity and scalability for hyperscale companies. Therefore, NeutraDC actively contributes to the development of Indonesia's digital ecosystem.

Since 2015, Telkom has been recognized as the first company in Indonesia to obtain international-level certifications (Uptime Tier 3 & Tier 4 Certification) and Tier Certification Operational Sustainability (Gold rating).
