TDE and CISCO Strengthen IoT Adoption

NeutraDC, or Telkom Data Ecosystem (TDE), a subsidiary of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom), collaborates with Cisco to enhance the use of data centers for Cisco's Mobile IoT Platform (Control Center), develop Telkom's data center infrastructure using Software Defined Network (SDN) technology, and accelerate the adoption of 5G technology and digitalization in Indonesia and ASEAN.

In recent years, the demand for IoT services in smart energy, smart buildings, smart cities, and consumer electronics has experienced significant growth. According to data from the IoT Association of Indonesia, the national IoT market is projected to reach IDR 372 trillion in 2022. "The IoT Control Center allows companies to launch, manage, and monetize their IoT services while providing flexibility for businesses to enhance their IoT offerings," said Andreuw Th A.F., CEO of NeutraDC.

Meanwhile, SDN technology will virtualize and automate networks, playing a crucial role in the strategic blueprint of service providers by creating a DC network that supports the rapid deployment of new services.

Cisco's IoT control center platform will be available at NeutraDC data center facilities in the Asia-Pacific region, with a capacity of 5 million connections. Furthermore, the partnership will drive the development of Internet of Things (IoT) services for businesses across various service provider industries in Indonesia.
