Bali, December, 2024 – PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom), together with its subsidiary in the data center industry, NeutraDC, and Bisnis Indonesia, organized a training session on optimizing artificial intelligence (AI) for local SMEs with the theme “AI Innovation for SMEs: Boosting Profits Through Digitalization”. The event was held in Denpasar on Wednesday (11/12) and was attended by various SME entrepreneurs from across Bali who produce and market the island's signature products.
Bali's SMEs have long been the backbone of the regional economy, with local products that have the potential to compete in global markets. To compete on a larger scale, it is vital for Bali's SMEs to deepen and optimize their digital capabilities. Telkom and NeutraDC have demonstrated their commitment to sustainability through digital technology.
“Bali's SME products have a strong local essence as they reflect the island's natural and cultural wealth. This unique appeal positions Bali's SME products to become showcases of local goods in international markets. Digitalization allows SMEs to innovate, improve their products and services, and opens vast opportunities for growth and global recognition,” said Ahmad Reza, SVP Group Sustainability and Corporate Communication at Telkom.
“We aim to foster inclusive sustainability by empowering SMEs to be prepared for global challenges. AI is one of the strategic solutions that can drive growth and competitiveness for local SMEs, particularly here in Bali,” Reza added.
As part of its commitment to sustainability through digital technology, NeutraDC also plays a role in empowering SMEs through its ESG initiative, Two Hands Hub, which focuses on enabling local communities by connecting them to digital ecosystems. “Through this collaboration, we hope to help Bali’s SMEs leverage digital and AI potential to enhance operational efficiency and expand their market reach,” said NeutraDC CEO Andreuw Th.A.F in a separate session.
Meanwhile, NeutraDC’s VP of Automation & Security, MD Septianto, emphasized that AI is a crucial investment for SMEs aiming to grow and compete in the digital era. The AI optimization training for SMEs is part of NeutraDC's Two Hands Hub ESG initiative. This program strengthens Telkom and NeutraDC’s role in fostering inclusive sustainability, helping SMEs adapt and thrive in the digital era.
In this training session, Digital Marketing Trainer Niko Ariansyah provided hands-on guidance to participants on using AI tools, showcasing how AI can be applied to automate marketing, analyze customer data, and improve digital strategies.
One participant, Ni Komang Rosiani, owner of the SME Rotenbi Bali, expressed her appreciation for the training and stated that it provided valuable insights into digital technology for business promotion. “This training has been extremely helpful in helping me understand how technology, especially AI, can enhance my product marketing. I’m optimistic about expanding my market reach to international levels,” she concluded.
